Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise a team in the Inspection Center and direct 5 leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean manufacturing setting. You’ll drive continuous improvement, ensure quality and safety, and align with Carvana’s cost objectives.

Role requires strong leadership, coaching, and the ability to manage production planning in a fast-paced environment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to obtain project deliverables and metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams and influence results.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning.
• Participate in developing and executing strategic plans aligned with the company.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that promotes positive communication and team cohesion.
• Maintain supervisory staff through recruitment, orientation, and training.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to meet performance metrics.
• Reinforce quality, production, and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
