Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney operations in East Hartford, CT seeks a senior materials and production leader to oversee strategic materials management and lean release strategies. You will coach and guide a multi-skilled team, drive improvements in WIP, accruals, and aging, and define system architectures aligned with customer requirements and resources.

Qualifications

• BS/BA with 10+ years in production, operations or manufacturing in a supervisory role.
• Master's Degree with 7+ years of related experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required; Secret Clearance may be obtained after start.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to Manufacturing Cell Leaders and QA Leaders on prioritization of HSMC materials.
• Provide leadership and guidance to manage all accruals, WIP, QN and PPX aging.
• Establish system architecture designs that take into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities.
• Support CORE activities focused on Standard Production System, lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput, and delivery integrity.
• Support and participate in the execution of the lean logistic transformation plan and insourcing initiatives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a multi-skilled team engaged in the distribution of material to and from manufacturing cells and module assembly.
• Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained in all warehouses.
