Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Materials Manager for the Alternate Work Week team within the CS/MC Center in Middletown, CT. The role focuses on transforming materials processes, releasing material, and driving cost and capacity improvements in a complex manufacturing environment.

You will lead the weekend delivery initiatives, manage cross-functional coordination, and implement Lean methods to optimize production flow while meeting customer expectations and capacity objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years in manufacturing operations or a Master’s degree with 5+ years
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
• Experience in materials management/ planning

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to hourly workforce and oversee weekend deliveries
• Drive strategic materials management and architecture
• Release materials, manage handling methods, kitting and movement
• Coordinate with CS/M CMC, manufacturing and 3PL to meet capacity and delivery goals
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth production flow
• Implement lean measures to balance value streams and shop operations
