Job summary
Eaton’s Electrical division in Richmond, VA is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead Lean initiatives and cost-out projects. You will drive kaizen events, value stream mapping, and problem-solving activities across multi-functional teams from concept to implementation.
The role focuses on safety, efficiency, productivity and quality improvement, with capital projects and manufacturing feasibility for new products. Relocation assistance is available within the US.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 1+ year of experience in Continuous Improvement or Manufacturing Operations preferred.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
- Experience in high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environments is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Implement and lead Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean tools across the enterprise.
- Lead operational improvement events (kaizen, gemba, rapid improvement events) from concept to implementation.
- Achieve facility-wide cost-out targets through improvement projects and best-practice sharing.
- Evaluate and improve operations using manufacturing principles to ensure safety, efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Initiate and lead capital improvement projects including equipment, facility upgrades, and new product start-ups.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture and support manufacturing feasibility for new products.
