Job summary

Eaton in Richmond, VA is hiring a Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead Lean initiatives and cost-out programs across our manufacturing operations. The role focuses on implementing value stream mapping, problem solving, and Kaizen events to drive safety, quality, and productivity gains.

The position also supports new product industrialization, capital projects, and the development of a strong continuous improvement culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 1+ year of experience in continuous improvement, manufacturing engineering, operations excellence, or related manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives and tools across the enterprise (Value Stream Mapping, 5S, work instructions).
• Run kaizen and rapid improvement events with cross-functional teams from concept to implementation.
• Drive cost-out through projects, waste reduction, best practice sharing, and program execution.
• Analyze and improve operations using manufacturing best practices for safety, efficiency, productivity and quality.
• Develop and lead capital improvement projects including equipment, facilities, and new product start-ups.
• Foster a continuous improvement culture and communicate opportunities for quality and safety gains.
• Support new product development with manufacturing feasibility and industrialization activities.
