Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II (2nd Shift) in Melbourne, FL. You will evaluate and solve manufacturing issues in design, process, and supplier areas for electronic assemblies, applying LEAN principles to improve flow and quality.

You’ll support test processes, equipment, and procedures while driving OEE and efficiency across multiple assembly steps. The role emphasizes testing, process improvements, and collaboration with design and operations to sustain

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or 6 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree.
• 2+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in Electronics Manufacturing with Product Testing focus.
• Statistics experience and Six Sigma exposure.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional efforts to improve test yields and throughput.
• Perform root cause analysis on test failures and implement corrective actions.
• Study performance and reliability of test equipment and reduce downtime.
• Analyze test approaches for cost reduction, efficiency, and capacity.
• Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for staffing and equipment needs.
• Order and justify capital test equipment with cost/payback analysis.
• Improve test fixtures and procedures; support Production Readiness Reviews.
• Support Gage R&R and drive manufacturing process improvements.
