Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL is seeking a talented Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to provide technical interpretation of drawings and specs, recommend robust design solutions, and support production and design changes. You will analyze capital equipment justifications, perform capacity planning, reduce defects, and help develop value stream maps and PFMEA to drive continuous improvement.

Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, attention to detail, and experience in Lean

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 2 years in manufacturing.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications.
Recommend solid engineering solutions and coordinate with Production and Design Engineering.
Support evaluation of production and design changes.
Analyze and develop justification for capital equipment with cost/payback analysis.
Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for equipment needs.
Identify approaches to reduce staffing and capital requirements.
Aid in eliminating defects and improve yields; perform root cause analysis.
