Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead the Surface Mount (SMT) production area in Melbourne, FL. This onsite 2nd shift role runs Mon-Thu 3:30PM-2:00AM and focuses on safety, quality, schedule adherence and productivity.

You will coach and develop manufacturing staff, prioritize work, coordinate with Materials, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Logistics, and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction through data

Qualifications

• University degree required; advanced degree beneficial.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing; 3 years with advanced degree; 9 years if no degree.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead SMT manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Coach and develop manufacturing staff; foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Monitor schedules, prioritize work, and optimize flow to meet customer commitments.
• Ensure processes, documentation, and products meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Materials, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics to resolve issues.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity and waste reduction.
• Support automation, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Interface with internal/external customers to resolve production concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Promote a safe working environment by enforcing EH&S policies.
