Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be enrolled at the University of Texas Arlington during the co-op.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite for data analysis and documentation.
• Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling, fixtures, and assembly aids to improve safety, quality, productivity.
• Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Develop concepts considering manufacturing, safety, quality, and ergonomics.
• Collaborate with production, manufacturing engineering, quality, and maintenance.
• Support design reviews, prototypes, testing, and validation of solutions.
• Implement tooling on the production floor and validate results.
• Apply continuous improvement methods to enhance processes.
• Document designs and changes per Siemens standards.
