Qualifications

  • Juniors, Seniors, and graduate students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must be enrolled as a student at the University of Texas Arlington at the time of the co-op.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
  • Basic proficiency with CAD/3D modeling.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm) from January 2027 to May 2027 or August 2027.
  • Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Grand Prairie, TX; housing/relocation not provided.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • This internship/co-op is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining 3D digital assets and CAD models for manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and work cells.
  • Supporting factory digital twin development by integrating digital assets into simulation and manufacturing environments.
  • Developing and improving workflows that streamline equipment modeling, including digital scanning and parametric modeling.
  • Collaborating with simulation and manufacturing engineering teams to support digital mockups and CAPEX projects.
  • Defining and implementing PLM and digital integration workflows to standardize asset incorporation into factory digital twins.
  • Testing and validating digital assets, integration methods, and defined requirements.
  • Documenting and standardizing digitalization methods, requirements, and integration frameworks while maintaining the factory knowledge base.
  • Supporting factory teams on digital modeling standards, integration requirements, and new digitalization methods.
