Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead lean initiatives across a Cresco, IA manufacturing campus. The role focuses on eliminating bottlenecks, reducing WIP, and driving continuous improvement in both manufacturing and office functions.

You will guide operators and technicians, develop leadership capabilities, and partner with site leadership to implement a best-in-class improvement roadmap and robust capacity planning tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years Industrial Engineering experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
• Experience leading lean initiatives and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide lean activities (5S, standard work, visual management, value stream mapping, Kaizen, 8D) to cut waste and boost productivity.
• Develop capability of facility Leads, Supervisors, and Managers.
• Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, and product flow.
• Lead continuous improvement across manufacturing and office operations.
• Develop project plans, drive performance, ensure timely completion and savings.
• Design equipment layouts, workflow, and safety measures for maximum facility utilization.
• Own and manage equipment capital expenditures from design to implementation.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager to create a continuous improvement roadmap.
• Create and enhance capacity modeling, production planning tools, and time standards.
• Provide direction to operators and technicians, supporting their development.
• Perform data collection, root cause analysis, and problem-solving to address issues.
