Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer for a Cresco, IA manufacturing site. The role centers on continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and optimizing product flow to boost productivity and operational performance.

You will lead operators and technicians, develop capabilities, and partner with site leaders to drive a roadmap of improvements, capacity planning, time standards, and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
• Strong knowledge of LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide lean activities and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, standard work, visual management, value stream mapping, Kaizen, 8D).
• Develop and mentor facility Leads, Supervisors, and Managers.
• Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, and product flow.
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and office operations.
• Develop detailed project plans and ensure timely completion of improvement projects and savings.
• Design equipment layouts, workflows, and safety measures to maximize utilization.
• Oversee capital expenditures, vendor selection, procurement, and implementation.
• Collaborate with site leadership to build a continuous improvement roadmap.
• Create capacity models, production planning tools, and time standards.
• Provide direction to operators and technicians and support their development.
• Conduct data collection, root cause analysis, and problem-solving to address issues.
