Job summary

6 Degrees Search seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and office functions in Cresco, IA. You will identify bottlenecks, reduce work in progress, and lead lean initiatives such as 5S, standard work, and value stream mapping.

You will mentor operators and technicians, develop capability, and partner with site leadership to deliver projects on time, maximize capacity, and achieve savings goals through data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement site-wide lean activities to eliminate waste and improve productivity.
• Foster the professional development of facility Leads, Supervisors, and Managers.
• Lead the standardization and optimization of manufacturing processes, sequences, layouts, and product flow.
• Lead and track continuous improvement across all functional areas, including manufacturing and office operations.
• Develop detailed project plans, drive project performance, and ensure timely completion of improvement projects and achievement of savings goals.
• Develop, design, and plan equipment layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant facilities.
• Serve as a key owner for equipment capital expenditures, including design, vendor selection, procurement, and implementation.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager and Site Leadership to develop a continuous improvement roadmap for best-in-class performance.
• Lead the creation and enhancement of capacity modeling, production planning tools, and time standards.
• Provide direction to operators and technicians while supporting their development, capabilities, and performance.
• Perform industrial engineering data collection, root cause analysis, and problem-solving to address issues.
