Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead continuous improvement across our Cresco manufacturing site in Iowa. You will identify bottlenecks, reduce WIP, and drive lean initiatives to improve throughput and productivity.

You will supervise operators and technicians, develop capacity models and time standards, and collaborate with the site leadership team to deliver savings and robust processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial engineering data collection, root cause analysis, and practical problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability to apply processes and methods focused on improving throughput.
• Strong knowledge of LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to shift priorities and focus on critical tasks as needed.
• Strong ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and drive initiatives through completion.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations and site leadership to identify opportunities and implement improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience and 3 years of management experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement site-wide lean activities to eliminate waste and improve productivity.
• Foster the professional development of facility Leads, Supervisors, and Managers
• Lead the standardization and optimization of manufacturing processes, sequences, layouts, and product flow.
• Lead continuous improvement activities across manufacturing and office operations.
• Develop detailed project plans, drive project performance, and ensure timely completion of improvement projects and savings goals.
• Develop, design, and plan equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization.
• Serve as a key owner for equipment capital expenditures, including design, vendor selection, procurement, and implementation.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager to develop a continuous improvement roadmap for best-in-class performance.
• Lead creation and enhancement of capacity modeling, production planning tools, and time standards.
• Provide direction to operators and technicians while supporting their development and performance.
• Perform data collection, root cause analysis, and practical problem-solving to address operational issues.
