Job summary

Carvana’s Inspection Center seeks a Reconditioning Manager to oversee daily operations, directing 5 leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean environment, driving quality, production, and cost objectives.

The role requires 5 years of management in automotive or lean manufacturing, leadership experience, and a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Visa sponsorship is not available. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to obtain project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends.
• Ability to walk up to three miles each day.
• Requires standing for extended periods and use of safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligning with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Foster a positive work environment and Carvana values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Manage production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.
• Guide the team to meet performance metrics.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
