Job summary

Greenworks is seeking a Process Industrial Engineer to drive Lean Manufacturing and automation initiatives across our plant in Morristown, TN. You will lead continuous improvement projects, conduct time studies, and optimize layouts to boost throughput and efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years in IE/CI within manufacturing, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and experience with automation and ERP/MES systems. Join a fast-growing team focused on operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated success leading process improvement and automation initiatives.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
Experience conducting time studies, workflow analysis, and manufacturing optimization projects.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost across manufacturing operations.
Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall operations.
Analyze production processes and workflows using time studies, labor utilization, line balancing, and capacity planning to improve throughput.
Drive automation and manufacturing technology initiatives, supporting equipment selection, implementation, validation, and optimization.
Optimize factory layouts, material flow, and workstation design to maximize space and support growth.
Facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities with Lean tools (Value Stream Mapping, 5S, OEE, A3, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis).
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to solve manufacturing challenges and implement improvements.
Lead and support cross-functional projects focused on operational excellence and cost reduction.
Support new product introductions (NPI) by developing manufacturing processes and readiness checks.
Develop standard work, process documentation, and training materials to foster continuous improvement culture.
