Gem Care is recruiting for an Industrial Engineer in the Sevierville, TN area. This position will support manufacturing operations by improving processes, increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes, workflows, labor utilization, and equipment efficiency
• Conduct time studies, process mapping, and capacity analysis
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve throughput, and lower manufacturing costs
• Support layout improvements, line balancing, and production flow optimization
• Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to implement process improvements
• Develop and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation
• Track key performance indicators and provide data-driven recommendations
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Prior industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, process improvement, time studies, and workflow optimization
• Ability to analyze production data and identify practical improvement opportunities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with plant teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; CAD, ERP/MRP, or data analysis experience is a plus
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to spend time on the production floor
