Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group in Indiana seeks a Production Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes, applying Lean methods to boost productivity, quality, safety and cost efficiency. You will collaborate with design, quality, supply chain and operations to ensure seamless production and continuous improvement of systems, acting as SME for automation selection.

You will analyze data, design workspaces, tooling and fixtures, and train operators to maintain standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience with discrete parts.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and ERP/MRP systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ISO/IATF quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Lean Transformational strategies and Kaizen events.
• Design and refine production workspaces and process flows.
• Develop tooling, fixtures and work instructions to reduce waste.
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, processes and equipment.
• Conduct time studies and capacity planning; document SOPs.
• Train operators and technicians on best practices for safety and quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers on specifications and support.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality.
• Provide technical product expertise for special projects.
