Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a high-level Continuous Improvement Manager to lead CI resources across multiple operations, driving performance via data analytics, lean tools, and engineering methods. The role interfaces with senior management and requires coaching teams to achieve operational excellence.

The position reports to the CI Director or Sr. CI Manager and supports start-ups, retrofits, and expansions with pricing inputs and go-live certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or supply chain management is required.
• Master's degree and/or professional certifications (APICS/ CPIM) are a plus.
• Nine+ years in distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, transportation, or supply chain logistics is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals and manage performance.
• Lead development and execution of strategy, scorecards, and KPI action plans.
• Coach owners to use engineering, data analysis, and lean methods for operational excellence.
• Develop and apply lean tools to improve distribution and transportation operations.
• Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events and sustain improvements across accounts.
