The Buckle, Inc. is seeking a Leader in Training to support the Store Manager and Leadership Team in driving sales, merchandising, and store operations.
This role focuses on recruiting teammates, coaching staff, and delivering excellent customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities include managing daily sales, leading by example, and maintaining store standards while working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Summary The Leader in Training (LIT) and Floor Leader’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” The role performs a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by store management (e.g., cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities). Works directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new teammates and provide leadership.
Compensation & Benefits
$16-$20/hr base rate plus commission on sales for sales positions. Final offers are based on skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related factors.

High school diploma or GED; up to three months of related retail experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The role requires standing, walking, use of hands, stretching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasional sitting. Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
The job is performed in a retail store setting with moderate noise levels.
