Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Lead Guide to coach Guides, build high-performing teams, and create an environment where students exceed expectations. This role focuses on life skills, motivation, and data-driven improvement rather than classroom teaching.

You'll help launch new campuses from zero, work on-site at select markets, and drive a culture of excellence with uncompromising standards. If you have a track record of raising others' performance, we’d love to meet you.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field; Master's preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role.
• Experience leading teams of five or more people, including hiring and performance decisions.
• Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience working with children ages 5-14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental setting.
• Willingness to work on-site at Alpha campuses (Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Greenwich, CT).

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to deliver exceptional student experiences while upholding Alpha's standards.
• Leading life skills workshops to develop communication, leadership, focus, and real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivating students to achieve ambitious learning goals in self-directed programs.
• Using data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Helping launch and establish new Alpha campuses by building a culture of excellence and accountability.
