Job summary

AvonRisk, a premier risk management firm in California, seeks a Claims Manager in Santa Ana to lead a unit of claims specialists and assistants. You will coach staff, oversee performance, and ensure compliance with Labor Code rules and company standards.

The role requires strong project and people leadership, with responsibility for mentoring team members and driving quality outcomes across assigned inventories in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of progressive technical claims experience.
• Ability to negotiate settlements and provide guidance on complex claims.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and performance feedback skills.
• Knowledge of California Labor Code provisions for workers' compensation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely performance reviews for unit personnel.
• Provide coaching, counseling, and feedback within the team.
• Ensure claims handling complies with statutes and company rules.
• Maintain selected files and monitor high-value inventories.
• Report to Claims Manager and escalate corrective actions.
