Job summary

Nordex North America is seeking a Service Lead Technician to provide on-site leadership for wind turbine maintenance and repair. You will guide technicians, liaise with customers, and drive safe, efficient service operations to maximize turbine availability.

You will perform diagnostics across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure accurate reporting and inventory management. Travel to wind farms and occasional on-call work are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in renewable energy wind turbine operations and maintenance.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and customer service skills.
• Advanced understanding of electrical/mechanical systems and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support onsite Service Technicians with technical guidance and leadership.
• Serve as primary customer contact for daily operations, maintenance, and reporting.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair on wind turbines and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and conduct fault-finding on electrical/hydraulic/controls.
• Execute preventive maintenance and manage daily work schedules.
• Dispatch technicians and ensure availability of tools and materials.
• Maintain accurate work orders, service reports, and inventory in ERP.
• Collaborate with teams to maximize turbine availability and service quality.
• Support knowledge transfer and on-the-job training for staff.
• Oversee inventory management and procurement activities.
• Travel to wind farms as needed and participate in on-call rotations.
