Job summary

Nordex SE in the United States seeks a Service Technician I to ensure safe and efficient operation of wind turbine generators, contributing to renewable energy goals. You will perform turbine maintenance, assist with troubleshooting, and help maintain site records and service tickets.

The role supports collaboration with operations and back-office teams, ensuring high availability of wind farms and alignment with Nordex’s safety standards. Travel may be required for training and site support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical wind energy or engineering education preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical, construction, or a related field.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong work ethic; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs following established procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Complete maintenance reports, track work activities, and manage service tickets.
• Support inventory and material management, including receiving, organizing, and tracking parts and tools.
• Prepare tools, materials, and documentation needed for scheduled work.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE inspections, toolbox talks, vehicle inspections, and incident reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and turbine performance.
• Work closely with team members and support additional site operations as needed.
