Job summary

Nordex North America is seeking a Service Technician I to support safe, efficient operation of wind turbine generators. You will perform routine maintenance and assist with basic repairs at wind farm sites.

This role requires the ability to work at heights up to 300 feet, lift up to 50 pounds, and work rotating shifts outdoors. A high school diploma and a willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; wind energy education preferred.
• 0–2 years in wind energy, industrial maintenance, or related field.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work at heights up to 300 feet.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10%.
• Ability to obtain safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues under supervision.
• Complete maintenance reports and manage service tickets.
• Support inventory and material management.
• Prepare tools and documentation for scheduled work.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain records of maintenance and turbine performance.
• Collaborate with team and support other site operations.
