Job summary

Nordex North America is seeking a Service Technician I to support the safe, efficient operation of wind turbine generators and maintain critical wind farm equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, assist with troubleshooting, and document work while upholding high safety standards.

You will collaborate with operations and back-office teams to maximize turbine availability and service performance for customers while contributing to Nordex's growth and technology leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years in wind energy or related field.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Able to work at heights up to 300 ft.
• Willingness to rotate shifts, overtime, and be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs following established procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues under guidance of experienced technicians.
• Complete maintenance reports, track work activities, and manage service tickets.
• Support inventory and material management, including receiving, organizing, and tracking parts and tools.
• Prepare tools, materials, and documentation for scheduled work.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE inspections, toolbox talks, vehicle inspections, and incident reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and turbine performance.
• Work closely with team members and support additional site operations as needed.
