Nordex North America is seeking a Service Technician I to support wind turbine maintenance and operations at our wind farm sites. You will perform routine maintenance, assist with troubleshooting, and ensure safety procedures are followed to maximize turbine availability.

The role requires basic mechanical/electrical skills, a willingness to work at heights, and ability to travel. Join our team and contribute to renewable energy goals with hands-on field work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical, wind energy, or engineering education preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical, construction, or related field.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 300 feet and climbing wind turbine towers daily.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10% for training or site support.
• Ability to obtain safety and technical certifications, including working with medium- and high-voltage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs following established procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues under guidance of experienced technicians.
• Complete maintenance reports, track work activities, and manage service tickets.
• Support inventory and material management, including receiving, organizing, and tracking parts and tools.
• Prepare tools, materials, and documentation needed for scheduled work.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE inspections, toolbox talks, vehicle inspections, and incident reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and turbine performance.
• Work closely with team members and support additional site operations as needed.
