Leigh & Co. Events is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator for the 2026 season and beyond. This contract role offers on-site planning, design execution, and day-of coordination with training provided. You will lead the planning team, work closely with client experience managers, and coordinate with vendors to deliver seamless weddings.

The role emphasizes leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts on a wedding day, including rehearsals and final details calls.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Attend a final details call with clients ~6 weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline and expectations.
• Lead the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding and ensure participants are confident in timing and cues.
• Serve as the primary onsite advocate for the couple and maintain a calm, solutions-focused presence.
• Oversee ceremony and reception setup in line with design and playbook.
• Manage full wedding day from vendor arrival to breakdown.
• Direct and greet all vendors; communicate setup instructions clearly.
• Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, and décor.
• Support the wedding party and family with timing cues and day-of needs.
• Ensure all end-of-event items are packed and accounted for; resolve issues as they arise.
