Job summary

Leigh & Co. Events is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator for our 2026 season and beyond. This contract role offers a flexible schedule and onsite wedding planning responsibilities.

You will lead weddings, coordinate with client experience managers and onsite staff, ensuring smooth execution, clear vendor communication, and a calm guest experience. Weekend work is essential.

Pay is $400 total per project for 10–12 hours, and training is provided to get you ready for the season.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years experience as a wedding or event planner.
• Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.
• Ability to work weekends is essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend final details calls 4–6 weeks before wedding to confirm logistics and timelines.
• Lead ceremony rehearsal and ensure smooth cue flow on wedding day.
• Serve as primary onsite advocate for the couple and manage vendor communication.
• Oversee setup and day-of execution according to design and playbook.
• Manage full wedding day execution from vendor arrival to breakdown.
• Greet and direct vendors; communicate setup instructions clearly.
• Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, and décor elements.
• Support wedding party and family with timing cues and day-of needs.
• Ensure end-of-event items are packed and accounted for.
• Proactively resolve last-minute changes to maintain guest experience.
