Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
• 8-10+ years water/wastewater construction with a large contractor.
• Experience building federal or government projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to lead field operations.
• Working knowledge of applicable regulations (i.e., OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise timely and cost-effective installation of contracted work for the total project or a major scope.
• Provide on-the-job training for Assistant Superintendents and Project/Office Engineers.
• Develop a plan for sequence of work and project schedule.
• Know the owner contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Monitor critical path material and equipment delivery dates.
• Update project schedule monthly as per contract documents.
• Control field costs and supervise field workforce for cost efficiency.
• Schedule and monitor field productivity; maintain equipment knowledge.
• Implement safety and QC policies; conduct safety inspections and remedial actions.
• Assist in resolving scope conflicts and participate in project management and marketing activities.
