Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Water Resources Engineer in Minnesota to independently manage projects and mentor junior staff. You will evaluate civil systems, lead teams, and ensure reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the water infrastructure lifecycle.

The role emphasizes client relationships, technical leadership, and coordination with owners, contractors, and consultants. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 7–8 years of experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and floodplain analyses.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects and manage high-complexity scopes.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record.
• Provide technical leadership for civil projects and client relationships.
• Lead project meetings with internal teams, consultants, owners and contractors.
• Develop project scope, budgets, design approaches, and proposals.
• Perform constructability reviews and QA/QC on projects.
