Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager in the MN/ND region to support client management, budgets, and technical work within our water resources group. You will work independently on smaller projects or as part of larger teams, with prior consulting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental or civil engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or can be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Expected to become licensed in MN and ND, at minimum.
• Minimum of six years of experience.
• Prior consulting experience, highly preferred.
• Preferably two years of project management experience coordinating and managing tasks and projects and interacting with clients and environmental regulatory agency contacts.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposals; manage project budgets and schedules; coordinate with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal staff; perform and oversee project technical work.
• Participate in, and support, a wide variety of water related projects, including planning and conceptual design, and detailed design and implementation.
• Perform or review all aspects of design (grading, drainage, water, hydrology, erosion control, etc.).
• Lead water resource planning studies for conveyance, flood analysis, water quality and ecological benefits.
• Complete tasks and delegate specific project tasks to other team members; provide management and oversight.
• Prepare technical reports, concept designs, construction specifications, drawings, bidding documents, and permit applications.
• Lead or participate in the permitting process with meetings to clients, contractors, agencies.
