Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Water Resources Engineer to independently handle small and large projects and mentor junior staff. You will lead analyses to ensure reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, serving as a technical resource across teams.

The role emphasizes project leadership, client relations, and collaboration with owners and consultants, with opportunities for growth in hydrology, hydraulics, and design innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 7-8 years of experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred but not required.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater BMPs, water quality, and floodplain analyses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage multiple projects.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record.
• Provide technical leadership for civil projects.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Lead project coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches.
• Assist and/or lead proposals and contract negotiations.
