Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, evaluate and deploy new automation technologies across our warehousing operations.

This role collaborates with operations, IT and solution design teams to demonstrate value and feasibility of automation solutions. Responsibilities include leading automation selection for bids, validating vendor options, building ROI analyses and supporting project management from design through go-live.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.
• Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, industrial engineering or warehouse systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation selection and validation on new business sale projects by identifying potential automation technologies.
• Build ROI and justification to select optimal solution designs.
• Coordinate on-site and cross-functional activities for deployment of automation solutions.
• Manage project milestones, budgets and vendor communications.
