Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. in Manchester, NH is seeking a Hospital Operations Manager to provide daily leadership to our veterinary hospital and partner with the Hospital Veterinarian(s).

You will work with store teams to ensure high-quality patient care, outstanding client service, and manage costs. The role involves scheduling, inventory, invoicing, staff training, and collaboration with Area Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years previous experience working in a veterinary practice. In lieu of veterinary experience, must have 2+ years of strong leadership experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions, delegate tasks and drive results with hospital partners.
• Must be compassionate and sympathetic and be able to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.
• Must have telephone etiquette and basic computer skills.
• Must be a team player willing to continue learning, offer creative ideas and accept continual change.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital paraprofessionals to drive operational excellence and high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate scheduling for veterinarians and support staff.
• Oversee inventory control, invoicing, patient scheduling, and accounts receivable.
• Oversee hiring, training, reviews, and counseling of paraprofessional staff with HR collaboration.
• Maintain hospital schedule and ensure adherence to punctuality and attendance policies.
• Collaborate with Petco store teams to ensure seamless client and patient experience.
• Review P&L monthly and work with Area Operations Manager to drive revenue growth.
