Job summary

The Veterans Benefits Administration is seeking a Supervisory Veterans Service Representative (Coach) to lead a team within the Veterans Service Center. The role focuses on providing information, advice, and assistance on all types of Veterans benefits claims for veterans and dependents, with outreach to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Leads a team within the Veterans Service Center (VSC) providing information and assistance on benefits.
Advises higher management on team operations and workload planning.
Interacts with government and non-governmental agency officials for cooperation.

Responsibilities

Lead an assigned team within the Veterans Service Center (VSC), BEST, or Pension Management Center.
Analyze and interpret laws, regulations and rules affecting establishment and claims.
Develop workload plans and assign work to the team; improve production, timeliness and quality.
Elicit information from stakeholders to resolve claims adjudication issues.
Interviews candidates, addresses employee concerns, and evaluates performance.
