Job summary

Veterans Benefits Administration is seeking a Supervisory Veterans Service Representative to lead an assigned team within the Veterans Service Center, BEST, or Pension Management Center, delivering information, advice, and assistance on veteran benefits claims.

The role includes coordinating outreach and ensuring accurate processing, with emphasis on meeting performance indicators and resource management in a federal setting.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 within the Federal Service.
• Specialized experience related to VA's Compensation and Pension Benefits Programs.
• Time-in-grade requirement: 52 weeks at the GS-12 level for a GS-13 position.
• SF-50 must show time-in-grade eligibility; if most recent SF-50 does not demonstrate this, provide an additional SF-50.
• Full-time employment is at least 35 hours per week; part-time work is prorated.
• This position is mostly sedentary.
• Review qualification standards at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management website.

Responsibilities

• Assist Coaches in daily responsibilities to ensure team functioning.
• Ensure the teams meet qualification and timeliness performance indicator goals.
• Manage cost-effective use of resources to achieve assigned outcomes.
