Job summary

The ASPCA’s Community Veterinary Clinic seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician Staff and Floor Manager to support HQHVSN and primary pet care for cats and dogs in underserved communities. You will direct workflow on the clinic floor, assist veterinarians, and coordinate daily operations with CM leadership.

Responsibilities span medical/floor management, training, people management, and compliance with CM protocols. NY license required; strong animal handling and shelter experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed NY Veterinary Technician.
• Minimum five years experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician in small animal medicine and surgery.
• Minimum two years people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of veterinary technician functions including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation and assistance, diagnostics, pharmacy and patient recovery.
• Work with staff veterinarians, technicians, and assistants to support HQHVSN and PPC for cats and dogs.
• Coach nursing staff to handle patients in a gentle, low-stress manner and ensure open communication with clients.
