Job summary

The ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician Staff and Floor Manager to lead daily clinic operations, support HQHVSN and PPC, and deliver high-quality care to cats and dogs in underserved communities.

You will coordinate floor workflows, assist veterinarians, and foster a compassionate, safe environment for animals, staff, and clients. NYS license, 5+ years’ vet tech experience, and 2+ years of management required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of veterinary science technology (2 or 4 year program) or the equivalent as determined by NYSED.
• Minimum five years experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician in small animal medicine and surgery; shelter medicine/HQHVSN experience preferred.
• Minimum two years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of veterinary technician functions including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation and assistance, diagnostics, pharmacy and patient recovery.
• Work with staff veterinarians, technicians and assistants to support HQHVSN and PPC for cats and dogs.
• Direct on-floor workflow and ensure high-quality patient care while coaching staff to maintain CM protocols.
