Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited veterinary technology program.
• Minimum five years as a Registered Veterinary Technician in small animal medicine and surgery; shelter medicine/high-volume spay/neuter experience preferred.
• Minimum two years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of veterinary technician functions incl venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep and assistance.
• Work with staff veterinarians to support HQHVSN and PPC for cats and dogs.
• Use Low-stress handling to provide a safe environment for animals and clients.
• Communicate with clients using a kind, nonjudgmental approach and obtain patient history.
