Job summary

The City of Sacramento seeks an Events Duty Person (Head Usher) to lead front-of-house operations for events at the SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District. You will coordinate the usher team, ensure a positive guest experience, and respond to emergencies in collaboration with clients, security, and internal staff.

Qualified candidates will have at least one year of event oversight experience in large venues and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• One year of experience overseeing events in a large public venue or similar setting.
• Experience providing guest services and directing crowd flow is preferred.
• Ability to enforce safety procedures and communicate clearly with patrons and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the usher team and coordinate front-of-house operations during events.
• Communicate event requirements and safety procedures to clients, security, and staff.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; maintain guest satisfaction and orderly conduct.
• Prepare post-event notes and reports for incoming shifts.
