Job summary

CSUN is seeking Lead Ushers for the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts. The role supports events on campus theatres, coordinating audience services and assisting artists, renters, patrons, and VIPs. The position is on-site, temporary, with evenings and weekends possible.

Lead Ushers will supervise a customer service team, ensure safety, and manage ticketing-related duties. Experience in performing arts settings is preferred; CPR/First Aid certifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in audience or customer services, preferably in a performing arts setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead an Audience Services team handling ticket scanning, program distribution, and seating assistance.
• Provide crowd control and enforce venue policies, including safety and VIP protocols.
• Assist patrons with seating, late seating, and locating seats while maintaining safety.
