Job summary

CSUN is seeking a Lead Usher to supervise a customer service team for events at The Soraya and campus theaters. This on-site, temporary position is based in Northridge and may include evenings and weekends. You will oversee ticket scanning, seating, and patron assistance while enforcing venue policies.

Required attributes include strong customer service, crowd management, and the ability to work under time pressure. CPR/First Aid and TIPS are preferred; a California driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to one year of related experience in audience or customer services.
• Valid California driver's license is required.
• CPR/First Aid or similar certifications preferred (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• TIPS training or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead an audience services team for event support, including ticket scanning, program distribution, and venue seating.
• Assist patrons with seating, access, and adherence to venue policies; manage crowd flow and safety.
• Coordinate with artists, renters, and guests on event operations and policies.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE as required.
• Provide exemplary customer service in a fast-paced, on-site theater environment.
