Job summary

SAS is seeking a Sr. Unreal Engine Developer to join a growing Games Analytics team. This senior role offers remote work within the US or hybrid with Cary, NC, and involves shaping architecture, pipelines, and coding standards for photoreal digital twins and enterprise analytics.

You will mentor developers, integrate real-time telemetry, and collaborate across teams to deliver data-driven Unreal Engine experiences with strong production pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of professional Unreal Engine 3D app development.
• Production experience with UE server/client architecture and network replication.
• Experience integrating external data sources/APIs into real-time apps.
• Portfolio of shipped real-time 3D or simulation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design/development of photoreal digital twin environments in Unreal Engine 5 for enterprise analytics.
• Collaborate with optimization IoT engineers and software architects on immersive data-driven experiences.
• Develop/optimize custom Blueprints and C++ modules for advanced simulation and user interaction.
• Evaluate/integrate Unreal Engine plugins, including SAS connectors and third-party plugins.
• Drive best practices in UE pipeline management, version control, and cloud integration.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to long-term technical strategy.
• Participate in open-source projects on behalf of SAS.
• Ensure adherence to security policies in SDLC.
