Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking an Underground Electrical Lead Hand for the Pogo operation in Alaska. You will lead the Underground Electrical team, ensuring safe, productive work and compliance with MSHA standards, while coordinating daily activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years electrical experience; Leading Hand Level 5 qualification.
• Proficient in prioritising work.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
• Ability to manage a small team of electricians.
• Liaise with other departments.
• Computer literacy – CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily management and supervision of Underground Electrical operations per MSHA Act & Regulations.
• Undertake diagnostic, breakdown, repairs, PMs of electrical and dewatering infrastructure and telemetry.
• Attend daily pre-start meetings and ensure effective handovers between crews.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and cost management; prevent rework.
• Provide technical advice and support to Electrical Team members.
• Ensure installation and testing of underground electrical reticulation to high standards.
• Attend weekly planning meetings and coordinate with shift Supervisors.
