Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is hiring an Underground Miner - Agitator Operator at our Pogo operation in Alaska. This full-time role operates underground equipment and supports mining tasks on a 3 week on, 3 week off rotating camp schedule, with long shifts at a remote campsite.

The role requires safety discipline, basic mechanical knowledge, English communication, and willingness to participate in safety procedures, MSHA compliance, and post-offer tests.

Qualifications

• Experience in underground Shotcrete Operations desired.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Good communication skills, including ability to read and speak English.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
• Ability to provide leadership and training to new team members (not essential).
• Must have good comprehension of safe operating procedures, safety rules, policies, emergency procedures, and MSHA requirements.
• Must pass a post offer physical and drug test, as well as a background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate agitator truck.
• Support with hauling, mucking, powder crew and rockpick tasks.
• Perform general labor and housekeeping.
• Ensure tools and equipment are serviceable and safe.
• Communicate clearly on two-way radio.
• Adhere to MSHA safety requirements and pre-start checks.
