Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited operates the Pogo mine in Alaska and is seeking an Underground Miner - Mucker Operator to join a rotating camp schedule. You will safely operate underground equipment, muck passages, load haul trucks, and support continuous production in a demanding remote environment.

The role requires experience in underground hard rock mining, a minimum of three years with underground loaders/muckers, and ability to work with MSHA rules.

Qualifications

• Experience in underground hard rock mining techniques.
• Minimum 3 years operating underground loaders/muckers.
• Must pass a post-offer physical and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load haul trucks and muck faces.
• Muck development headings to standard.
• Assist with road work and maintenance.
• Follow MSHA rules and report incidents.
• Record haulage movements accurately.
• Participate in pre-start checks and safety meetings.
• Maintain clear communication with the shift supervisor.
