Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Underground Longhole Driller for the Pogo operation in Alaska on a rotational camp schedule. This permanent role demands safety‑driven, hands‑on leadership and high productivity in challenging conditions.

Responsibilities include setting up production drill rigs, drilling to design patterns, maintaining equipment, mentoring junior crew, and ensuring MSHA compliance while delivering reliable underground results in a remote Camp environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in underground hard rock mining.
• At least 2 years in longhole drilling.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• English communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• MSHA safety compliance knowledge.
• Ability to pass post-offer physical, drug test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up production drill rig and area.
• Drill according to design pattern.
• Maximize machine availability and efficiency.
• Operate safely following procedures and policies.
• Provide leadership and training to new team members.
• General laboring and housekeeping as required.
