Job summary

Greenfield Global is seeking a Benefits and Retirement Manager to lead U.S. benefits strategy, compliance, and administration, with oversight of Canada and Ireland programs. This role anchors in U.S. benefits with a view to harmonization across regions.

The candidate will manage the full spectrum of benefits programs, drive renewals, ensure ERISA compliance, and partner with Finance, Payroll, and HR to optimize administration and reporting. Location flexibility supports Connecticut or Kentucky.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of U.S. employee benefits experience across health, welfare, and 401(k).
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, DOL, and IRS retirement rules.
• Experience with HRIS integration and carrier data feeds.
• Willingness to learn Canadian and Irish benefits requirements with broker support.
• Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable leadership recommendations.
• Ability to work independently and build trusted relationships across HR, Finance, Payroll.

Responsibilities

• Own U.S. Benefits Program Management including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary offerings.
• Oversee annual renewal, open enrollment, pricing, and funding decisions.
• Review contracts and SPDs for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage broker, carrier, and vendor relationships and lead negotiations.
• Partner on 401(k) plan administration, fiduciary oversight, and compliance.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and leave/absent management in coordination with HR.
