Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn, AL is seeking a Senior Driveline Engineer to lead the design, development and validation of transfer case assemblies, including mechanical and electrical shifters, ranges, and interfaces with the vehicle. You will mentor driveline engineers, collaborate with CAE, NVH, durability and manufacturing, drive DFMEA and DVP&R documentation, and deliver robust, production-ready solutions.

Strong emphasis on hands-on design, testing, supplier approvals and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in automotive engineering focusing on driveline systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of transfer cases, axles, shafts, gears, actuators.
• Experience with vehicle integration and software/controls development.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes for driveline assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of transfer cases and components.
• Collaborate with CAE, NVH, durability, and vehicle dynamics teams.
• Develop validation plans and conduct bench/vehicle tests.
• Perform root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Drive supplier design approvals and DFMEA/DVP documentation.
• Develop PFMEA and control plans with suppliers.
• Pursue design/process improvements and best practices.
• Create detailed system specifications and ensure alignment with suppliers.
